There were no Democratic Socialists in 1941.  As some of the comments point out, these were more likely American First people - a motto of the KKK.

The Socialist Party is not the same as the Democratic Socialists which came into being in the 1970's

The Dem-Socialists are turning on the Dem-Fascists. Ocasio-Cortez vs Bezos. This seems reasonable to me. It will be interesting to see how this turns out.

Somewhere on the net the other day, I saw a photo of ANTIFA. They were holding up a big banner that said "Become Ungovernable".

What if ANTIFA actually turn against both Dems and Reps? That would really be something.

Could this be the start of a massive civil disobedience (hopefully peaceful) along the lines if Gandhi or Thoreau?

A do-not-comply movement.

When both parties' current leadership are corporate, then both parties would currently be Fascist.   If the citizen funded upstarts, eschewing the big donor's bribes, take over either party, then we might think this Fascist age in the one-time republic has begun to pass.

Quote

According to the NYT, DeSantis is a “fiery conservative” while Gillum is a “Mayor”. Why isn’t Gillum labeled an “angry liberal” or a “left-wing advocate”? Why aren’t the labels a more parallel Congressman and Mayor? Nope. The R gets an ideological warning label. The D doesn’t.

It's always possible that's just an accurate description of the two men.

Next thing you know, since the term "god" is gender specific, there will be some new word to use, and "god" and "goddess" will be removed from our vocabulary.

Maybe that is why, in the original Hebrew stuff, they never used a name for God.  They never called "it" anything.  To put a name on God was forbidden.  The name "God" comes from the Germanic side of the Proto-Indo-European Language, with the same root as Good or Goth.  Theos, Deus, Dia, Duw and Zeus, are from the Greek/Celtic side of the PIE.  Jehovah comes from a Christian attempt to pronounce the unpronounceable.  Semitic languages used the unpronounceable tetragrammaton YWHW, which some Christians attempted to write as Jehovah or Yahweh.  If you actually try to pronounce YWHW, I think it sounds more like the wind than anything else, but they knew that was not it's name, just something they used to represent it.

Christianity has definitely taken it further along a patriarchal path, but the Jewish were definitely there with the priesthood they developed after Moses.  In the biblical pre-Moses stuff, God is a creator, but "it" is not said to create with it's genitals, only with it's words and breath.

I like terms like the, "What Is," and, "Great Mystery."   Whatever It is, it sure isn't changed a great deal by what I might think or say.  These questions are much better applied as memes for creating wars and such.    There's no mass killing like when we can get a deity on our sides.   When it comes to that point, you have to round up those wise enough to question the insanity and put them on trial to make an example.

Metaphysically, that's correct.  The "father, son".... bit is just patriarchal projection.

So, your telling me Jesus was gender neutral?
