In another century?

I used to long for humanity to get beyond this apparent age of falling short of assumed potentials.  I did my new aged best to visualize that world, if not that universe.   Then, four years ago this month, a shift in perspective from being somebody, to simply being seemingly happened in the happening.   I saw that identity was something conditioning and an imagined "I" created.   The "I" I believed myself to be was just one of seven point five billion changeable and changing stories.   Nothing real in it beyond its being a story.   And yet, there was this seeing of it all that had always been, before time as far as I could tell.   So now, I see that golden age I longed for was too created in a story, as were all desires.   What's left when the desires are seen for that which they were?   I don't know what to call it.   For lack of a better word, I call it Tao.    Oops, someone already said that.

Everything is still happening, but I see my self more as a game piece and my name, a place holder in the games of story and illusion.   From an unidentified vantage, I am not that.   My states of being, as the game piece don't carry me back into identity.   These too are only happening in the seems to be.   If I should miss the golden age now, what will I miss it as?   Everything with a beginning has an end.   It is all in this seeing.   My action figure will or won't join any particular battle, as I, the witnessing of it, is.

Ah yes, stories. We all have or identify with one, sometimes many at the same time. Throughout life we often embody several at once and they are ever evolving. Does the belief that one embodies Tao currently mean that the other stories that are/were embodied are somewhat less of an importance or is it merely just a shift in identity. After all I'm sure that wherever one is at, is the most important story for him/her at that particular point in time.

ponder that......

I have to say here that identification isn't required at all.   The game piece or action figure is illusory.    Identification with the body/mind is illusory.   I wasn't talking about a shift in identity, but of a perspective wherein identity is seen for what it is, and isn't.   All idea of importance is a component of belief.     When what is expresses as a body/mind, any expression of identity as a body/mind will assume an I, and/or other, order to things.    This won't make it so, but is only an agreement to believe.    Eventually, we might see all belief as no more than our truth, which is not the truth.   From here, we can start to inquire into what is known.    For me, this inquiry shows I know nothing, and what was believed was belief, and nothing more.   Then it comes down to, how much skin do I put in the game?    When I see my assignment, something may move.   The more identity I bring to any seeming action, the possibility of corruption increases.    I see I don't have to have more than this life to respond.    So, my faith is in nothing, in that nothing will not let me down.   The whole of humanity might demand I take some idea of being, but being alone completely suffices.

This man makes no sense.   Ignore him!

I know, right?   (Nope, I don't know.)

Meh, your playing a game of semantics. You want to play but only by your definition.

Sorry.  Not trying anything.   It comes up against no way to say it.  Do you remember Swami Beyondananda?   He was one of the best purveyors of nothing.   My favorite is, "Nothing gets out those impossible stains."

I suppose it's a bit like "No one for president."   We can't go wrong with that.

I'm glad this was posted on the Liberal Madness thread.  So fitting.

If a tingle went up your leg every time Obama spoke, you might be a libtard.....

If you believe all Trump voters are racists/white supremacists, you might be a libtard....

If you answer a yes or no question with 3 paragraphs that fail to answer the question, you might be a libtard... (or a politician)

If this post triggers you, you're probably a libtard...

It didn't take long to find disappointment with either Obama or William Jefferson Clinton.  The thing that really chafed was, I ruined a perfect record of having never voted for a winner in a presidential election with that O bastard.   My vote for Jimmah's second term was a kiss of death.   O took that power from me.    Maybe I got it back with Jill Stein.    Don't know.

Actor James Cromwell warns of 'revolution': 'There will be blood in the streets' if Democrats lose

Quote

Actor  James Cromwell told an audience Sunday night that a violent revolution is coming if Democrats don’t win the midterm elections.

“Something is coming up, which is desperately important to this country and to this planet, and that is an election, in which hopefully in some measure we are going to take back our democracy,” ...

There is that "we" are democratic meme again.  Even if they loose the election and promote violence to take the government over, they somehow feel they are democratic.

I don't know why the Hollyweird people think they have any voice in any of it.... is Hollyweird democratic? Are they smarter than the average Jack and Jill because they are rich and famous? Are they even there because of their talent or because they let somebody ____ them on the casting couch or VIP lounge?  They all lied about their sexual orientation, and want you to think that's A-OK!! They are absolutely the LEAST trustworthy voice in all the hoopla!!

Just say NO to celebrities and any endorsements they make!

And all are free to indulge their hypocrisy in any way they like. Just as "One man's trash is another man's treasure," or "One man's ceiling is another man's floor," "One man's bigotry is another man's hypocrisy!"

The only problem with the reasoning is that the only choices you are presented with are political ones. How many of those seeking office are not political types? That being said, I did generally agree with the overall tone and message of the video.

Spot on.  For any daring to challenge the progression of libtardism (i.e. The Borg), their response is "We have our ways to deal with you!"

What looks hopeful to me is that the cognitive dissonance is getting so prominent that even those who are deeply dug into their -sidedness can feel the veil thinning.

My political friends have gotten used to my "radical centrist" views and are even, a few of them, echoing crumbs of it back to me. Especially my brother, with whom I have regular deep conversations that are pretty darned fearless in these times of political correctness.

The other day I got a very strong sign that the turnabout is reaching epic proportions. Dear hubby, who is usually lost in a dark fulmination of hate about everything Trump, somehow lifted his head and made a genuinely funny joke about the ineptitude of the Democrats. Just like that!  It was like a ray of sun piercing out of the clouds.
