Greenmeadow
I could see language "dropping out" of the debate. The debates were already limited to two. Mondays debate competes w monday night football. The discussion ages ago was that she wanted that date to limit views as she doesnt do that well in such settings. I guess the discussion would be would it hurt her more to skip the debate or to participate. She does "have a written excuse from her doctor." Romans828IsTrue
Is it just me, or do you feel a lot of tension rising, not that it hasn't been for months but there seems to be more like a close-up of a ticking time-bomb feeling...... I can relate to that line of thinking, Joy....

jdurand
I kind of doubt we'll have any. Can't really see any in-person debates with them both on the podium.

Fortunately, the Monday Night Football game is between Atlanta and New Orleans. Few people outside of those two cities care about the outcome of that game. And Georgia and Louisiana are already voting for Trump. I've said it before and I'll say it again, this debate is going to be bigger than Billie Jean King vs. Bobby Riggs. SPace
There is a movement to boycott the games, to send the NFL a message about disparaging the anthem and the flag. Foxx, I think that was referring to just two candidates, not the number of debates. I'm with JD on this one, I doubt it happens at all. There are plenty of reasons to postpone, and I expect that to be the case. 'They' need more time to produce a 'Hillary' that those pesky internet geeks can't decipher as fake.. There will be no deception; she will boast that she is doing it to keep from spreading her pneumonia germs to our children and grandchildren. The audience will love it, they will scream for more. Pneumo
I can relate to that line of thinking, Joy.... Me too. I was just about to say as such to the tribe, then I remembered that they would just laugh at me or call me a doomer once again.... So I didn't. We're following this whole thing closely from the lower side here and have told a few of the more enlightened folk about what's been going on. Had a great discussion in the Reverberatory this morning about how clif said the best laid plans of TPTW would not be able bring about WW3. Had to laugh when I read that the latest, greatest floating flight deck the hawks had thought up was just blowin' up the power generators and havin' all sorts of problems. That'll teach 'em to put new-fangled sh1t in them boats !

Foxx
In support of Clif's claim that Monte Paschi is key... Exclusive: Regulators expect Monte dei Paschi to ask Italy for help - sources By John O'Donnell | LONDON European regulators expect Italian bank Monte dei Paschi di Siena will have to turn to the government for support, three euro zone officials with knowledge of the matter said, although Rome would strongly resist such a move if bondholders suffered losses. Less than two months after the Tuscan lender announced an emergency plan to raise 5 billion euros of fresh capital, having come last in a health check of 51 European banks, there is growing concern among European regulators that the cash bid will fall short. While the bank is determined to see through the capital raising, if it were to disappoint, it would be left with a capital hole. Now euro zone authorities are considering whether state support would have to be tapped after what bankers have described as slack interest in the bank's share offer. "There is clearly an execution risk to the capital raising," said one official with knowledge of the rescue attempt, adding that the bank's value, about one ninth the size of the planned 5 billion euro cash call, would be a turn-off for investors. ... Greenmeadow
This is one of the more through articles examining Hillary's health. He looks at what her doctor has written and includes what other doctors deduce from her history, reported tests and medications. Doctors have some serious questions about what Hillary's doctor letters. He also discusses video evidence of health issues and what doctors conclude based on those. This is not wild uninformed discussion of her health. The writer comments that her doctor probably was thrilled to be asked to be Hillary's doctor initially "Unfortunately, Hillary Clinton corrupts everyone who serves her. And this year Bardack encountered difficulties she could not have foreseen in 2001" Read more: http://www.americanthinker.com/articles/2016/09/dr_lisa_bardacks_faustian_bargain.html#ixzz4LD3ALJxB Follow us: @AmericanThinker on Twitter | AmericanThinker on Facebook http://www.americanthinker.com/articles/2016/09/dr_lisa_bardacks_faustian_bargain.html

Foxx
More linguistics ahead of tomorrow's emotive release. Banks to Need Billions More Capital in Tests Under Fed Plan Wall Street would have to come up with billions of dollars in additional capital in a proposed revamp of the Federal Reserve’s annual stress tests that could also scrap some provisions that lenders have criticized. As the Fed has signaled for months, it is considering changes that would raise the minimum capital that the biggest banks need for a passing grade, Fed Governor Daniel Tarullo said Monday. But the Fed is also mulling concessions that Wall Street has sought, such as eliminating its assumption that lenders would continue to pay out the same level of dividends and buy back shares during periods of financial duress, he said. ... Greenmeadow
So the debate did happen. Hillary did not look sick (though she did look botoxed to me). It was pretty lacking in fireworks. They didn't really say anything new. So there may not be much talk about it on Tue. In the past clif never covered politics because it was too hot to show up in any solid detail. He said this time politics was showing up because it effected markets which he does track. So on Tue markets may be a bigger deal than the debate and overshadow it. On the other hand language about her not being healthy enough to debate and possibly dropping out is a bot hit. That was discussed a lot prior to the debate. I have never seen that kind of talk during a presidential election before.

Foxx
This may be a big one with regard to the bonds forecast. The House of Saud has already stated that if this passes they would divest their bond portfolio. Congress Overrides President Obama's Veto of 9/11 Bill Both houses of Congress voted today to override a veto from President Obama -- for the first time -- of a bill that would allow the families of 9/11 victims to sue Saudi Arabia for its alleged role in the terrorist attacks. The Senate today voted 97-1 to override the president's veto, while the House voted to override by a large margin: 348-77 and one present vote. ...
