Hi  this is Louise.

I've been following Clif since  2016.

It is fascinating how many things have manifested.

I'm really looking forward to the next chapter.

Welcome!

Thank you for your kindness.

I have one of the worst internet connections possible.

So I'll be slow to post.

I'm very interested in Clif and all his thoughts. He seems like wonderful man- and I feel like it is a privilege to be part of the Clif High Wild World.

Hello Louise.

Welcome to the Web Bot Forum.

We have a few rules here which you might find a bit intimidating at first, but I'll lay them out anyways.

1.  No rules. Of any kind, except common decency.

2. No imposition on any kind of restrictive measure. i.e. No rules.

3. A laissez-faire approach to life is compulsory. There will be no rules.

I hope you enjoy your interaction here and look forward to seeing you on the boards.

Kind regards

Pneumo

BTW. If you think it's deep out here in the public area, wait until you get inside.....(Evil chuckle,  ala Dr. Doom.)

:)

@Pneumo, you never mentioned being watchful for Interstellar Aliens, Russian spies, and assorted and sundry crazy people.

My apologies, jd.

Louise, watch out for @jdurand

I'm still trying to understand the whole magnet thing.

I'm getting  a lot of pressure to get vaxxxed.

I keep explaining I just want to wait.

But the arguments are so emotional, I think they undermine themselves.

Does anyone have any simple,  effective lines to just shut people up on the subject?

@islandlouise I have a dry sense of humor. I'm older and don't care if I hurt someone's feelings. I'm a no-nonsense kind of person. With those disclaimers, my answer to your question is: "shut the f*ck up!"

I say i trust the treatments they have for Covid

They do not appear to have treatments for Covid vaccine injury. The doctors literally do not know what to do.

But you cant win emotional arguments with facts. I usually end up with you do what you need to do for you and i will do what i need to do for me.

This has resulted in some of my vaccinated friends and family going to no in person contact because i am unvaccinated. I will wait them out.

My wife and I lost contact with most of our families after we told them we were moving out of the USA.  In a way it's worked out well, no discussions of vaxx with them since they're not talking to us at all.

Hi! I'm CaraMiaR.  I've been a lurker with almost no contribution for years.  However, life threw me a few curve balls and I've been missing for a few years.  I saw a new Cliff High video on the You Tube page today and thought I'd see if this forum was still around and if I could sign in.  Obviously, it was, and I did.  I'm not smart enough to be here, but I've learned a lot here over the years.  I think I'll stay around.

Pneumo, I'm in Central Florida.  In the beginning process of moving about ten miles after 25 years, from the middle of nowhere to within a mile of major shopping.  Husband died.  I'm getting old and having some health issues of my own.  Haven't been allowed to drive since before Easter.  It's time to relocate to where I can get stuff delivered.  I know it's safer in the woods, but oh, well.

Ah, really sorry to hear that your husband passed. Hugs.

Why don't you send an email to support@webbotforum.com and ask to be re-instated on the private side. Come on back over. Tea and sandwiches at 4 pm sharp. :)

Hi everyone!

I joined the forum last month, but only just now found out there's a private side of it, as I didn't see all that much activity. I discovered Clif and his work earlier this year through my wanderings and was immediately struck by his breadth of knowledge, effortless delivery, and a gifted ability to interweave and relate seemingly unrelated topics into a cohesive whole. Feeling like I had wandered into the middle of movie or play halfway finished, I wasn't sure exactly where to start with his extensive catalogue. I've watched/listened to many of his videos and interviews and joined the forum initially to take a look at the famed ALTA reports. I'm pretty shy and not sure where to start with these things and didn't want to intrude (or really didn't feel like I had much, if anything, to contribute. Also at first glance I didn't see much activity going on, but then I saw reference to private forums so I figured I'd jump on the introduction thread and hopefully make my way over there when I meet the criteria. I'd really like to meet/interact with a group of similarly minded people who are into these things. Idk if that made any sense. My interests/hobbies/passions are tech, literature, crypto, creative writing, meditation, spirituality, the nature of mind/consciousness, psychedelics, and....just a long string of other things.

Cheers,

W

Hi Everyone,

I'd like to introduce myself, I am an American in my twenties.  I grew up farming, but developed a great interest in statistics both at university and on my own time.

I am shocked I was not aware of Clif High and Web Bot until last week.  It is amazing that I have missed this, as it dovetails with many of my interests.  I have always been fascinated with how seemingly unrelated events are correlated along the lines of how Edward Dewey looked at things.

At one point I built something similar (on the surface at least) to Web Bot with the goal of predicting hay prices.  I used R to do the whole thing, as it is the language I am familiar with for playing with big datasets.  I gave up on incorporating web traffic, as I just couldn't get much out of it.  My strong suspicion is that as the internet looks more and more like interactive cable TV, the percentage of text that is a person's original idea drops to nearly nothing.  With that said, I was able to build a useful model using some unlikely data sources.

Could anyone fill me in on where the project is right now?  Based on what I have found so far, it seems like Clif shut things down for similar reasons.   Is anyone still developing a successor, or working on a new approach?

Thank You
